May 7 (Reuters) - Citigroup (CN ) denied the rumor that an error committed by the bank's trading would be behind the sharp fall in U.S. markets yesterday.
Citigroup said he was "troubled by the fact that the incorrect and unfounded rumors" can expand so quickly.
